HES-group co-authors win best paper award at Reconfigurable Architectures Workshop

HES group member Amit Kulkarni collaborated with Mohamed El-Hadedy from the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign, which lead to the publication “A 16-bit Reconfigurable Encryption Processor for Pi-Cipher” with as authors Mohamed El-Hadedy, Hristina Mihajloska, Danilo Gligoroski, Amit Kulkarni, Dirk Stroobandt and Kevin Skadron.

This paper won the best paper award at the Reconfigurable Architecture Workshop (RAW) 2016, part of the Parallel and Distributed Processing International Symposium (IPDPS), Chicago, May 23-24, 2016.

The co-authors of the paper from the HES group (Amit Kulkarni and Prof. Dirk Stroobandt) provided the parameterized reconfiguration support to the encryption processor.
